A holiday by the sea, preferably with a direct view and the sound in your ears – that is the ideal. In the superior double room with sea view under the north gable of the Söl’ring Hof you will find exactly that. A 180° view over the dune landscape, the roaring waves and the contrasting, yet equally imposing Wadden Sea.
This room is named after Carl Nicolai Christiansen, who was born in Westerland in 1864. On Sylt, he was known only by his nickname Captain Corl. He went on board for the first time at the age of 15 and was already captain on the East Africa Line at 27. In 1902 he returned to Sylt and steered the paddle steamers between the Danish Hoyer and Munkmarsch (at that time still the only connection to the mainland) for 25 years.
