What a place – our North Sea Suite with sea view offers everything that makes a Sylt holiday and the special features of this island so tangible. Cosiness, the highest level of comfort, spaciousness and a breathtaking view over the North Sea make this place a magical place where switching off is easy. That is a promise!
The sleeping area and the bathroom are located on the upper, open gallery. Since the beginning of the year, guests have been able to enjoy a completely new bathroom. It was completely gutted and the large new glass door allows daylight to enter the room in all its glory, so to speak. There is also a guest WC in the entrance area of the suite.
The name of the sea suite is due to the courageous mother Merret Lassen, who was born in Rantum in 1789. She was the wife of Peter Lassen, with whom she had a total of 17 children. In the summer of 1825, the Danish King Frederik VI visited the family after hearing about the “capable and exceedingly handsome” Merret. The Lassens had to move twice of necessity, as their houses were destroyed by quicksand and then by a storm tide.
The suite with sea view is not only very cosy. It also offers a lot of space, as it is on two levels. In the lower living area there is a fireplace with an elegant sofa for cosy reading hours. Upstairs, in the open gallery of the North Sea Suite, a sleeping area and a spacious, light-flooded bathroom await.
A fireplace in the room, space to unwind and stylish furnishings in muted colours. Merret Lassen, who gave the suite its name, would certainly have enjoyed a holiday in the Superior Suite with sea view. Born on Sylt in 1789, she would certainly have been happy to climb into the sprung bed of the North Sea Suite, to hear the laughter of the seagulls in the morning and to have breakfast on the terrace of the Söl’ring Hof in peace and quiet with a light breeze and sunshine. She would certainly have enjoyed a sauna session between the first lash and breakfast set on the terrace in the wellness suite at the North Sea.
